The time has come for My OC Bookkeeper’s August 2018 Orange County business networking and events calendar. Take a look for all kinds of great events for small business owners, professionals, and aspiring entrepreneurs throughout Southern California.

Business and Bagels Networking OC

When: Every Monday in August at 8 AM

Where: Locations to be determined.

A group of professionals seeking referrals and mutual learning while enjoying fresh bagels on Monday mornings. The first trip is free, and tickets cost $5 per meeting thereafter.

Santa Ana / Tustin Business Networking Referral Meeting

When: Every

Where: Temple Beth Sholom, 2625 North Tustin Avenue, Santa Ana, CA

A great opportunity to do some mingling with some great Orange County professionals. Participants are advised to prepare a 15 second introduction of what they do, and have ample of business cards to distribute. Tickets are $20.

Huntington Beach Professional Networking Meetup

When: Tuesday August 7 from 7 AM to 9 AM

Where: Meadowlark Golf Club, 16782 Graham Street, Huntington Beach, CA

Networking for business owners who want to expand through referrals with other local businesses. Once a business category is represented by a member new networkers from that industry are not allowed to join – so be sure to check closely to see if your business is eligible. Tickets are free of cost.

Must Haves and Key Steps for Successful Fundraising

When: Wednesday August 8 from 5 PM – 8:30 PM

Where: The Cove, 5141 California Avenue, Irvine, CA 92697

With members of the famous Tech Coast Angels and local investors throughout the crowd, the event will include a number of speakers and round-tables on various industry as well as ample opportunity for networking. Regular tickets cost $30 with product demo tables costing $100.

The 3rd Annual JobChina Bilingual Job Fair

When: Friday August 10 from 10 AM – 2 PM

Where: The Sheraton San Gabriel Hotel, 303 East Valley Boulevard, San Gabriel, CA 91776

A great opportunity for job seekers speaking both English and Chinese. In addition to recruiters from wide ranging companies, the fair offers free resume editing services, free head shots, and free career consultations. Tickets are free.

Ellevate OC: Ready. Set. Go. Speed Networking for Women

When: Wednesday August 15 from 5:45 PM to 8 PM

Where: Avenue of the Arts Hotel, 3350 Avenue of the Arts, Costa Mesa, CA 92626

The Ellevate Network’s mission is to help women thrive in the workplace. One of the ways they work towards this is through setting up great networking events. This event is for women professionals who want to interact with as many people as possible in a short period of time. Tickets are $20 for Ellevate members and $60 for nonmembers.

Network After Work Orange County at Mesa

When: Tuesday August 21 from 6 PM to 9 PM

Where: 725 Baker St, Costa Mesa, CA 92626

Creative cocktails, casual conversation, and great professionals from all around Orange County at an event hosted by Network After Work. Complementary appetizers and drink specials included. Tickets start at $20 at the door and $15 in advance.

Orange County Job Fair

When: August 28 from 11 AM to 2 PM

Where: The Atrium Hotel, 18700 MacArthur Boulevard, Irvine CA, 92612

An opportunity to meet with job seekers and hiring managers from wide ranging companies from around Southern California. Tickets are completely free.

Orange County Speed Networking

When: August 30th at 7 pm

Where: The Country Club, 330 East 17th Street, Costa Mesa, CA 92627

As described by the group, speed networking is like speed dating but without the dates, and a great way to meet a large number of professionals in a short period of time. You will spend 5 – 6 minutes chatting with each professional and simply mark on a card who you would like to follow up with. Tickets cost $21.50 until August 23rd and $26 thereafter.
